Contrary to what some have said, a USB C cable only supporting USB 2.0 will be enough. The front USB port on the new Xbox Series X/S is only USB 2.0 and plugging a USB C 2.0 cable into the new controller works just fine. But if you wanna use the cable for other things too that need higher bandwidth, go ahead and buy a USB C at USB 3.1 speeds.
